I know that when you get a traffic ticket in NC, you have the option of requesting something called a Prayer for Judgement which allows you to merely pay the court fees and not accrue points or pay a fine. I know because I've taken advantage of it successfully for a speading ticket I received.
My wife recently got a ticket for failing to come to a complete stop at a stop sign. She was considering using the Prayer for Judgement for this charge as well, but is under the impression that it can only be used by one person within a 3 year period per insurance policy. I know there is a 3 year period where you cannot use this option again, but I don't think there is an insurance issue concerning it.
Can someone clarify the rules for this issue please?
