I got Caught Shoplifting I am 19 years old with no prior Record. This was not my first time shoplifting however it was my first time getting caught. Does the NASP SA classes really work because I fear Ive picked up a very bad habit. I cant even walk into a store without thinking about stealing. My court date is not until August 1. Can you take a NASP course before your schedualed court date.
No you plead not guilty and seek advice from legal counsel (Lawyer) which you can do now before court as well. When you talk to an Attorney ask about Diversion or any option that might be available

Pay your civil demand. Obey your trespass and get some help regarding the impulse you have to steal.
