Have not paid mortgage in several years
originally purchased as owner occupied home
moved from massachusetts (where house is located ) to florida
i rented the house
i know i am in violation of note...as i no longer live in house
i have rented to section 8
i have been using the rent received to maintain property and pay water bill only
have used balance of rent money to use for my living expenses as i am unemployed.
Will the housing authority ( section 8 ) have any recourse
thank you

You live in Florida.
Even if MA could obtain a judgment, it'd be hard to enforce against you in FL.
FL is generally a judgment proof state, that protects debtors and their rights.
MA might be able to sue and seize your home, but you appear to no longer want the home, just the income.
As long as the state is paying you for using your property, I don't see how you could be in any jeopardy.
Now, I don't know all the facts, you do.

The Housing Authority has no recourse against you, because they're using your property and paying you for such use.
There may come a time when the holder of the note comes against you.
That may be difficult as you live in FL.
When and if they sue you and win, that seems to be the time to worry.
Until that time comes, keep raking in the dough!
