HELP PLEASE!!

I will try to be brief. Employment contract never arbitrated but reached a settlement agreement in Dec 2006 regarding severance pay.

The "Settlement Agreement" allows for payments due the 15th of each month with a 21 day grace period after which an additional amount is applied. April and May's payments haven't been paid.

Because in the 33rd District Court I cannot make a claim over $3,000 I was wondering if I could sue them in Small Claims separately based on one month at a time.

In addition, the instructions for completing "Affidavit and Claim, Small Claims" says the plaintiff cannot file another form to get a judgment for the balance. Does this mean the balance of the settlement agreement? It's confusing to say the least. I have contacted a couple of lawyers and they are not helpful at all.

I have done a breach of contract letter that I will be faxing today. At this point I'm out quite a bit of money and not sure which avenue I should be heading down.
