mip or no mip?

There was a party recently that got busted. There were approx. 20 minors that got caught several others ran away. Three officers searched the house and found a bag of marajuana and a keg of beer. The officers called all the parents but issued no tickets. Is this normal procedure; and what can be done. Can the officers still issue tickes later.

thanks, Snider

I am interested in knowing what the law is exactly on an mip for alcohol. Do you just have to be in the presence th get one or do they have to catch you beer in hand.

let me know, thanks

There are many different laws and statutes and they vary according to state. A beer can be "in your possession" so long as it is within proximity to you so that one could say it is yours. If you were in someone's room and 20 feet away at the occupant's desk there is a beer, you would likely not be in "possession" of the beer that is obviously possessed by someone else. Regardless, be aware of where you are at all times and remember that where there is smoke, there is a greater probability of being burned.
