Hi everyone, so I got an MIP while floating down the Muskegon River yesterday in Newaygo County Michigan, and I was wondering what's going to happen to me. First of all I was arrested for minor in possession of alcohol and possession of marijuana when I was 16, and I got a lawyer and went through the juvenille court system. I know that atleast the marijuana charge was dropped, but the alcohol charge might have been dropped too, i'm not sure. But I was on 3 months probation where I didn't have to do anything like drug testing, I just had to stay out of "trouble". And my driver's liscense was not affected. So my question is, will this count as my 2nd MIP even if my juvenille records are sealed? Will my driver's licensce be affected as if this was my 2nd MIP? ? Do you recieve points on your licensce for an MIP, or is that just a DUI/OWI?
Also, I'm planning on pleading not guilty to preserve my options. Would this be a good move?
