Alcohol & Drugs: MIP, MIC, Intoxication Minor Attempting To Purchase Alcohol

I am 19 and went to a party store to attempt to purchase a 6 pack of beer. The attendant pointed to a sticker that read "no id no booze" and I explained that I didnt have my ID on me. Her husband went outside and presumably got my license plate information (although the car is registered to my 52 year old mother). I havent been cited for anything as of yet but without getting local legal advice I was just wondering what I need to know. I have no prior record but in michigan "Purchasing, attempting to purchase, consuming or being in posession of..." is a misdemeanor. Any ideas ?

I doubt you have anything to worry about.

I'm curious, where did you try this? In East Lansing, for example, they ID under 35, and all the Quality Dairies make you hand them your ID so they can scan it. . .
