Medical privacy in a private club?

I notified the Secretary, a paid position in a local private club of which I am a member, of my COVID positive test, so that the Secretarycould notify other members I had been in contact with. I had been at the club taking minutes of a meeting when I unknowingly exposed others. Instead of using a generic warning, the Secretary released my name as the person infected to those I was in contact with. What is the law governing confidentiality in this setting?

Subject to the nature of the "private club," there almost certainly isn't one. Your membership contract, if one exists, might have something to say about this.
