I live in Fredericksburgs, Virginia. I rec'd a letter from an attorney representing a Doctor we used to visit and requesting payment. Here is the problem, our visit date was 08/15/2006 and the insurance denial (listed on the bill) is 07/17/2007 - almost a FULL YEAR LATER. We never rec'd a bill or notice until the letter from the attorney. I changed jobs and changed insurance within that time.
Do I have to pay this? Is this their problem for not billing the insurance within a year?
