Marketing Misinformation

In early March I bought a membership to a lead-generating program, HomeAdvisor ("HA"). The telemarketer for HA told me that I would be charger per accepted lead. This means that once an email was relieved, I would have to physically accept the email and that it would not be automatically charged. I also told this individual that the account would be inactive for the time being. I have not checked my account for emails because what I agreed to was that I would not be charged until I accepted the lead. I have never contacted a customer or accepted a lead. I have received information that stated that my account would be sent to collections if it was not payed in full.

He "told."

I "told."

"Told" is the most dangerous word in the English language.

What does your contract say? That's where you'll find what you have to pay for.

Doesn't matter who "told" who what.
