I am divorced and my marital home is in forecosure. My ex-husband was court ordered to sell property and we were to divide the proceeds equally. Due to poor health and other circumstances, he did not sell home. He refinanced it and delayed sale repeatedly. The property is now in foreclosure. Can I place a lien on property for my share of "marital asset" prior to the foreclosure or short sale? Do I have any recourse? I cannot afford an attorney. Thank you.
