I got an MIP when I was 17 back in Dec. and about right now they are finally calling me to do community service, which I am now an adult out looking for a job and planning my future. Is it legal for them to still enforce juvenile punishment on me since I am an adult? It was my first one so they did not fine me besides the class and now this community service. It is not on my record either, so I was just wondering if I could legally get off without doing it?

Also was reading the Iowa laws and it says first violation of drinking under age is penalized by a "simple $100 fine". They tell me I cant just pay a fine either.
