Im the benificiary of my fathers life insurance death benifits , the ammount is 10k.
Im also the benificary for death benifits through his work , that amount is 5k.
Question - Does the 10k ans 5k count as money towards his estate ?

My brother will be asigned administartor , of Dads estate , cause he had no will and three children .
Im confused , there is a disagreemnet concerning funeral costs , yes my brother did front appox 15 k to cover the funeral/burial. Im more then willing to pay my part of the funeral expense which I think should be divided three ways , but he thinks I should pay it all with the death benifts insurance.
