Over the summer I received a speeding ticket, my mother told me that if I called & it was available for phone payment it meant I would not get my license suspended. However, after paying my ticket I've just received a notification that my license was in fact been suspended for 6 months. Should I have gone to court? What can I do to somehow fix this now? I entirely depend on driving for School & everything I do & have no one to drive me anywhere. Also I really don't want to risk getting arrested by driving with a suspended license but if my car is registered under my parent's names can cops see that I drive it? This is really a last resort I really need to figure out a way to fix my situation.

If you are the driver and your license is suspended, it doesn't matter who owns the car, you can be arrested. We have no idea why your license was suspended but I highly suggest you contact your state's MVA and find out. They can also let you know what you need to do to get it reinstated.

And just how fast were you going? Maybe you were driving fast enough to be eligible for a suspension.
