landlord making us get rid of cat HELP
When we moved into our apartment building, our landlord said we could not have dogs or exotic pets. Our next door neighbor had a cat. We decided to get a cat about 3 weeks ago, and the landlord stopped by and noticed, she said to get rid of the cat. We were never told we could not have a cat. I asked her why we couldnt have a cat ??? and she said because the cats next door caused damage to the apartment. We received a letter today stating we have until september 15th to get rid of the cat. I dont think its fair we have to get rid of our cat when we were never told we couldnt have one.
PLEASE HELP ME !!! WHAT CAN WE DO TO KEEP OUR CAT.
can we sue the landlord if she makes us get rid of the cat and we dont and then she evicts us for it. she said in the letter we received the lease says no pets but she crossed it out.
