My jurisdiction is: Shawnee county, KS
My grandchildren recently lost their health insurance due to the fact that their parents have had an increase in income and they no longer qualify for Health Wave. My daughter has Blue Cross through her work and applied with them for the three kids. She got a letter from them today stating that they would not insure the kids because two of them have ADHD. Now, while I do understand that they can refuse to cover anything related to the ADHD because that would be considered to be "pre-exsisting" is it legal to refuse to insure them at all?
