I have been on SSI for 7 yrs, I was called for a review. I found out my asset level is too high right now. How can I legally spend my assets to get under $2,000 again? I also have a HUD subsidy coming up for renewal how do I handle this? How and when should I tell SSI about this?
As long as my assets are under $2,000 does that mean I will be able to get SSI for the rest of my life (since I am disabled) ?
How long do I have before I won't be able to get it again? (in other words spend down my assets without having to requalify)?
