Issueing a restraining order on Tenant

My husband and I live in Colorado with my sister in law, under a verbal lease until december 31 2008. My husband and his sister argue like kids all the time, and now she says she wants us out tomorrow, or she will file a restraining order on my husband and lie to them telling them that my husband is abusive to her, which he is not. He has not once threatened her or abused her in anyway. Now she is saying she is emotionally abused, which is a joke, and we have witnesses to prove all of that who have seen what his sister does and says.

Can she file a restraining order on him and kick him out tomorrow? Even though she is going to lie about her reason for wanting a restraining order?

Please help, we are low on time. Thank you!

All we can tell you is that if she does file it, then go to court and fight it.

keep proof of this threat but I suggest start looking for another place to live. It is obvious you guys do not get along and there is alot of tension under the household. She just cannot throw you out though. If she files an RO I would fight it.
