Head on auto accident 2 1/2 yrs ago, not our fault. We are dealing with our own insurance company, lady who hit us basically had nothing. Husband underwent 4 surgeries just to start with, plus physical therapy, our entire family was in the car. Husband lost his construction business, since he can't use his arm to do the work. We were very close to settling. Then the insurance company hires an outside attorney, and demanded statements under oath, we complied. Now said attorney has dropped offer by $185K. Previous offers had been approved by their Board. Does this smell like bad faith since we were so VERY close to wrapping this thing up?
Thanks for your help.

Only by continuing to court will you be able to determine if it you have a bad faith claim. That is a determination for the court. What does your attorney say?
