I am landlord for a rental house in Atlanta, Georgia . After a bad experience and eventual eviction with the last tenants I decided to use a property management co to handle my rental property.
Well, now three months into the new lease , the new tenant has been late last month, is currently late this month. My management co has not given a demand letter or begun the eviction process and here it is the 21st. And now my management company tells me the tenant has filed for bankruptcy.
Do I have any recourse against the management company ? Can I get one lawyer to deal with all of this ?
I cant afford to pay the mortgage if the tenant doesnt pay rent, or I cant evict and get another tenant. It seems like the only ones to benefit here would be the management company.
thank you,
