Now, the NY Public library makes it PROHIBITED ON DISCRETION to watch porn movies in one's laptop a the Library. Did I say it right: IN ONE'S OWN LAPTOP. For example, in LA, even in the Library'S computers, it is common to see all kind, from all social level, people watching whatever content that is not EXPLICITELY probited by LAW or the LIBRARY. The COPS might be called to ENFORCE thiis LIBRARY'S LAW. Your opinions will be greatly appreciated.

I can imagine scenarios where even your LA scenario would be illegal.
If what you watch is viewable by others around you, especially children, then there could be a problem. If it is kept private and nobody else can see then there is no problem.

I work in the computer field. The laptop, monitor screen are designed to providing maximum privacy to the user. By the sole fact that someone can prove you were watching the content of its screen put you in an illegal position (Something like invasion of privacy). Although, this facet of the law in most country is not being enforced. Computer scientist have to recourse to offusquating password to keep some privacy.
