never got caught or what so ever??

my friend work for retail store...oneday i came to shop there and he gave me a discount...i assumed its about 50-75% discount. to be honest i thought his doing this in legal way cz he always mention his employee of the month(i never been a cashier..so i don't have no idea) plus he mention before that his been doing this discount to his brother in laws and his sister.

anyways about a wk ago..he got arrested for felony"grand theft" class F(they were accusing him of total of $700..but i don't think its that much..plus i pay for the rest)....he deny that he knows me. i found out that his scanning my merchandize and deleted it again to avoid charges....(i'm not aware that his doing that) i really feel bad for him..so i help him get bail out...lately it seems that he wants to depend on me on his financil crisis...i told him what ever i could do..i will do it for him. but ofcourse i'm not rich...i think he kinda get upset..now, his avoiding me.

now my worry he has a hearing nxt mth...even i'm innocent he might rat me out :( can he do that??

i mean he already admitted it's was his fault not mine...i'm just a customer...even they check the surveillance camera...i was at his cashier and paying..i didn't run out w/my item.

i contacted a lawyer already he told me wait until press charges me...and i don't any have record...

is it better if i go to there store and pay them..or they will arrest me :? OMG

plus i use my credit card they might hunt me :(

advise plz
