Is a landlord responsible for outside pests?

Jurisdiction
Massachusetts
I have a tenant who has a rodent problem in their vehicle which is parked in an open lot adjacent to our property. She seems to think we need to take care of that rodent problem but they are not coming in the rental units, and are only evident in their personal vehicles

Q: Is a landlord responsible for outside pests?
A: Not in the situation that you have described.

I can't even conceive why your tenant might think you have any responsibility to address "a rodent problem in [the tenant's] vehicle" that is parked on property you don't own or have any possessory interest.
