Same question, regarding 2 areas of law parameters:
Can someone be arrested or charged with a crime because the police think that you are / were GOING to commit a crime? In other words, if you haven't done anything wrong, what is the law that protects you from such charges?
Same question, but this time applied to a driving related charge. How is it possible to be charged with something that the police never saw you doing?
A question pertaining to the driving related charge: In such a case as to a person receiving a citation and wanting to fight that in court, if the judge states that you have in the past committed such an offense (without getting caught), what is the best defense strategy to such a statement?
If you have any information as to where to find such a law (in writing), I would love to know about it. Thanks again.
