My husband had no idea why he was arrested, and neither did the arresting officer. He went to his probation meeting this morning and was arrested. His parole officer wouldn't tell me why he was arrested just told me to ask him. He said he had no idea and there was no information in the system as to why he was arrested (the arresting officer checked the system) But I was just wondering where the law was saying they PO cant tell me anything.
You can discover MOST things in this brochure that TDCJ issued:
https://www.tdcj.texas.gov/documents/pd/PIT_English.pdf
A parolee is released to live in the community, rather than being housed in a prison cell.
In effect, a parolee hasn't been relesed from serving her/his sentence.
The parole board releases the parolee into the community to resocialize her/him, but he/she is still under the control of TDCJ (Texas department of Criminal Justice).
Common sense should deduce that the TDCJ, parole board, the parole officer has no duty to tell anyone anything about the parolee.
As the PO suggested, ask your husband WHY he was arrested.
He knows why, because he did or failed to do what his parole officer directed.
If he was a drug addict, he's probably using again and tested dirty.
If he won't tll you, search the county website and you'll see his scheduled court date.
You, along with anyone else in the community, are FREE to attend the court sessions and learn what he refuses to tell you!!!
Tell me what county jail he's in, and I'll tell you how to search the county jail website to learn the TRUTH for yourself.
If he;s in Neuces County Jail, start here with a court case search:
