My jurisdiction is: Texas/Harris
I received several traffic violations including driving without a license and proof of insurance, both of which were current at the time, but not on my person. While in jail on unrelated charges, my traffic court date came and went. It is my understanding that the fines were waived as time served, but I was never given an opportunity to prove that I had insurance and a current license. Now I'm told that my license has been revolked and that I must pay $260 a year for the next three years to reinstate my license. Is there anything I can do to about these fees considering the circumstances?
