I made a flyer trying to promote my business i just started I used a word in which i had no idea it was trade marked i thought it was the industry's name and i got this letter i only made one flyer and they ended up with it i sent a letter of compliance do you think it will go any further and what should I do?

Dear Sir or Madam:

Our firm represents ********., in connection with
trademark matters. ********, Inc. is the owner of the federally
registered trademarks "*******," "***** *****," and "*****
******," among others, for use on electronic animal confinement systems
and related products. Copies of certain of our clients' U. S. Trademark
Registration Certificates are attached.

It has come to our clients' attention that you are distributing
the attached brochure which contains the reference "*********." The products of *******, Inc. are sold and
installed only through authorized distributors and dealers. Therefore,
you are not authorized to sell ******** products, and your use of
********* trademarks, or marks confusingly similar thereto, to
identify products other than ********* products constitutes
trademark infringement, unfair competition and false advertising in
violation of the United States Trademark Act. Accordingly, we demand
that you immediately terminate your use of this brochure, and any other
use of "*********" or confusingly similar trademarks.

********, Inc. would prefer to resolve this matter
amicably without the need for legal action. However, it must protect
its valuable trademark rights. Therefore, we look forward to receiving
your prompt response, within fourteen (14) days of receipt of this
letter, confirming your compliance with the above-discussed
requirements.

Unless we know what the actual term is and what the business is, it is impossible to say whether the company even has a case against you. Typically companies like to claim everyone is violating their trademark. If you haven't really done any business then it's quite possible that the company won't care if you cease promoting and engaging in this business.
