Ok the situation is this I got pulled over by a cop that was coming off the off ramp. I was side by side with cop when he spotted me. But the cop that came off the off ramp wasn't the cop that pulled me over it was a different cop that was pulling someone over couple blocks down, that pulled me over.
Is that even legal??? Plz help

Yes, it is prefectly legal. Since you didn't give any information, check with the clerk of court to see if you are eligible for traffic school or a deferment.

The way to prevent a ticket from going on your record is to not drive in such a way as to earn one.

Hey Iwapt what do you mean when you say I didn't give any information??? But I also was wondering how can he radar me when he was like side by side with me. And second if i asked that cop that pulled me over to see his radar he wouldn't have record of my speed or would he???
I just don't see how it is legal for a cop pull me over when 1 he was side by side with me and two the cop was even the original cop that so called radared me. Plz explain so I can understand.

thanks

Q: But I also was wondering how can he radar me when he was like side by side with me.

A: With his radar gun.

A: No.

a cop can radar from a stop or while moving. if doesnt matter if your driving right next to a cop and another one pulls you over. the other cop might see something that the other one didnt. if you didnt get a ticket then why is it a big deal?

I think the point the poster is trying to make, is the fact if you are going an equal speed (or were parked side by side) side by side, the reading should be "zero". You are not moving towards or away from the radar device, therefore, the reading must be zero.

One can always google for an explaination on how the device's work. You could probably go to youtube and find a video explaining radar.
