How Long Do I Have To Wait

On 23 July 2005 I won an eBay auction for a Cisco PIX 501 firewall. I immediately paid for the item through PayPal. The next day I received an e-mail from a county employee in Florida (I live in Virginia) saying he had been watching the auction and believed the item was stolen from him by a former employee. He suspected it was stolen, watched it being sold instead of stopping it. The item was shipped through DHL, not USPS. I have contacted this person numerous times asking the status and plan. To date, he has not provided any relative information.

He watched it being sold and allowed me to purchase it. Where do I stand?

I sincerely appreciate any input you can provide.

This person has no idea if this property is his or not. With that said, you should contact pay pal to see if you have any recourse if the seller refuses to ship. That person should contact the police. Also complain to ebay if you do not get your product.
