While I was in the hospital for my babys birth I was infected with Sepsis for which also infected my newborn.And now the hospital is saying they can't find her Medical records.Iv'e tried numerous times and keep getting the run around.I beleive the hospital is negligent to the care of my baby and I . Write a letter to the hospital administrator and request a complete copy of your child's medical records.
Send a copy of that letter to your health insurer.
Allow them time to respond.
In the interim, hand carry a copy if the letter into the hospital and request a copy of the child's medical records in person.
Make sure you keep all correspondence sent and received.
You can always sue for specific performance, but that comes later if they continue to demy or delay.
Also, contact a lawyer.
Discuss your case and determine which options you'll pursue.
