My now ex husband had me sign a quit claim deed but had me use my maiden last name that I do not go by or on my driver's a licensand it was notarized by a friend of his, is that legal? Also he had not removed me from loan

The time to ask if an action is ILLEGAL is BEFORE you complete the act.

You could have said, NO, when he asked you to sign.

I suggest you discuss what you signed with a lawyer.

Without reading what you signed, I can only say its never wise to sign something you don't fully understand.
