HIPAA Violation for Business Class Flight Requirement?

My employer gave me a medical travel accommodation to fly business class on flights over 6 hours, based on my doctor's recommendation. I asked my boss to keep it confidential, as I didn't want others in the company to know (company policy is coach). My boss inadvertently blurted out my business travel for work in a staff meeting. Has he violated my rights to confidentiality under HIPAA?

Not unless he learned of your medical condition through your employer's self-insured health insurance policy.

HIPAA has nothing to do with this. A staff meeting may not have been the right place to share this but surely others needed to be aware, especially those involved in booking and paying for travel.
