I recently purchased a used 1997 dodge intrepid and I purchased it "as is". Only 3 months later my transmission went bad. He charged me for the part and labor. I feel this is wrong? Is it? Not only that it has taken him 30 days and counting to repair it and it is still not repaired. What can I do? Are there any lemon laws to protect me.I tried to have the vehicle moved to another place where it could be fixed professionally and within one day, but he denied me the right to move it and called the police to have me removed from his property. Please help me???????

What part of "as is" do you not understand? Anytime you purchase a used car you need to have it inspected by an independent mechanic. Around here that only runs about 75.00 and is well worth the expense although it may not show up all defects.

As far as the part about him taking too long that would be a consumer complaint with the BBB and your state attorney general.
