A few days ago i got caught shoplifting from khols.. i dont know why i did it but it will never happen again.. She brought me back in and i gave her back her merchandise (68.00) and we were going to handel it without police involved but i forgot my ID so the only reason they were involved is they had to run something to make sure i wasnt making anything up.. The cops never talked to me, never cited me, wasnt takin for finger prints Nothing.. The only thing they said before i was free to go was they had to ask the DA a question then i would recieve something in the mail? What is going to happen to me.
We cannot forsee the future. However if they are going to ask DA a question its likely they are going to ask him if he wants to pursue the theft charges
Okay so i got a civil relief letter in the mail which i have to pay 225.00 to store name and it sez it MAY be in addition to a fine under any criminal proceedings brought against me, but is not dependent on criminal prosecution.. What does this actually mean?? and i called the cops that were there and it just sez who the cop was that took the call and i also called the magistrate and they have no record of my name either? Im so confused...
Its a form letter. It bssically tells you what you have to pay etc. However it also tells you that payment will not prevent criminal charges if the store decides to file.
