My landlord in Kansas called me in California to inform me that in 5
days his son will be arriving at my place to spray paint the complete
interior of the 2BD residence that I have lived for the last 6 years and
he plans to do this while I am still living in it. I have three
concerns about this, First I am 70 years old, and have Emphysema the
paint he is using has warnings right on the label in bold letters that
say { DANGER AVOID PROLONGED BREATHING OF VAPORS} makeing it
uninhabitable. My 2nd concern is that all my personel stuff including,
Stove, Refrigerator, Computer, office equiptment, funiture, and clothing
will have to be removed or relocated to provide access to all areas as
needed for spray painting the complete interior. I belive this would
also make it uninhabitable . My final concern is that my landlords son
who is a Convicted Felon out on Parole in Texas for grand larceny. and
is currently out on a $320,000 bond in Kansas for Multiple Burglaries
& Drug Charges is the person that my landlord is sending out to move
all my stuff & do the painting inside. I have already informed the
landlord that I will be moving out next month and asked if he would
delay the painting until I was out becouse the fresh paint vapors would
make it uninhabitable for me. He flat out refused and said his son will
be arriving on tuesday to start work regardless .This will leave me
without a roof over my head and a place to sleep. While his son is in my
place going thru and moving all my stuff so he can paint. How can I
stop the landlord from painting inside until I can get out with all my
stuff .

You can't, really. He has given ample notification and he really can send who he wants.

Sorry.

Senior, why not go to a local motel for two or three days?
Then you can start moving out after the spray painting is done.
In other words, if possible, readjust your plans to move sooner; rather than later.
There's nothing you can do to stop the painting, unless you develop a communicable disease and the house has to be quarantined.
