My daughter was given an older truck, by a neighbor, whose husband had passed away. She told my daughter that her husband wanted my daughter to have the truck (told her this before he passed). My daughter has had the truck for over a year now, and has asked for the title of the truck (which is still in the deceased husbands name) consistantly, and been given excuses all this time. Now, the woman said that her grand daughter told her to tell my daughter to get that truck back to the woman. What can my daughter do? After being given the truck, my daughter got rid of her old, about to fall apart van, and if she has to give the truck back, will have no way to get to work.

She doesn't have to return the truck.
But, I'd return the truck if I were her.
Why?
She's never going to get the title.
If she keeps the truck, it'll continue to create problems.

If she never received the title then it isn't her truck.
She was allowed to use the truck, but it does not belong to her.
She should start looking for another vehicle pronto.

I suspect the neighbor will not say that they gave you the truck and they were leting you use it. as long as the title has not been changed then I assume you are out of luck. Sorry and good luck.
