Frozen Joint Survivorship accounts

I was left as the joint survivor on a number of accounts that a New Jersey Bank refuses to allow me to access. I was also left as the sole beneficiary on a will that was notarized three years prior to the death of my friend. This will is being challenged. Are there any LAwyers that do things on a contingency basis with a retainer that a person of limited means can afford?
