Consumer Law, Warranties fraud on year of tractor

We bought a tractor last week from a private owner out of the news paper and we were under the understanding that it was a 2002. But come to find out it was a 1979 to 1981. He wrote on the reciept 2002 sold as is and in the paper that it was a 2002 . Is there something we can do to get our money back?? thank you

This is a clear case of misrepresentation and you can sue to get your money back. Check with your local magistrate to find out the small claims limit. How could you possibly mistake that old of a tractor for a 2002? That will be his defense.
