I purchased a home about a year ago which had foundation work completed on it prior to the sale. The foundation contractor offers a transferrable warranty on the house when ownership changes as long as it you contact the company and let them know you have purchased the house in the 30 days. Well, needless to say, I didn't get it done, my fault.
The work performed by the contractor has failed and the foundation has shifted again. I am looking a large repair bill to get this fixed and I want to know if I have recourse against this contractor for shoddy work. If I had called them in the 30 day period, they would have fixed all of this for free, however since I didn't get the switch done, no lifetime warranty.
