A person borrows money from a family member and executes a promissory note with appropriate terms. The borrower then takes the note and forges a sentence with lender's signature at the bottom of the promissory note years later stating that ''all interest on this note has been forgiven.'' Forensic analysis confirms the forgery. By this time, the lender has been deemed mentally incompetent due to Alzheimer's disease. The amount of interest exceeds $60,000.

1. What crime or crimes has the ''borrower'' committed?

2, What agency would you take this to if a decision to prosecute was made?

Talk to your lawyer or police to see if there is enough evidence to press charges. The charges pressed would depend on what can be legally proven in court. So it needs someone to evaluate the evidence and circumstance.
