My living has flooded about and 8 by I ft area and I have notified the landlord and even have been trying to clean it they suggested I pull up the carpet so it didn't keep soaking but I havent heard about what plans to be done with the floor am I responsible to pay for the water damages?it's smells moldy now

Your responsibility depends on how the water came to appear in your living room.
Read your lease, that tends to be where most answers live.
Talk to your landlord ASAP, and find out what his/her plans are to get you back on dry land.
