First time shoplifting

I was caught today shoplifting baby tines at (discount store). This is my first offense and I got a citation for it. I have a court date. What should I expect?? Will I go to jail for this??

First off remove store name from your post so you don't create more problems for yourself. Next talk to an Attorney and ask about plea options be sure to ask if your county has an ACD or Diversion program

No, you most likely will not go to jail for a first offense. Get an attorney as suggested & talk only to the attorney - talk about the plea options shrinkmaster suggested.
