I recently experience firnmation when I bought some Canpri Suns. Firnmation is when the product you buy because damage air gets inside or being old, turns into alcohol. The box I purchase was not damage or old , no funny smells, nothing to think that something was wrong with the Canpri Suns. I checked the dates (expires 2007). i even paid to have the box tested and they have found two of the Canpri Suns to have had firnmation. The way I found out about firnmation is that my 5 yrs old, had a Canpri Suns and he was drinking it and he said it tasted funny. I tasted it and it tasted like alcohol. My question is do I have a case ? The warning on the box didn't match what I experience, and on the news a kid died because of the alcohol in cough syrup was too high. Do I have a case for illegal giving alcohol to a minor? There got to be something we can do?

The fermentation process CAN occur if left in the sun or the heat.

Do you have a case? No. There was no damage or harm, and there was apparently no intent by the manufacturer to distribute alcohol to a minor. But, if you have the money, you can always seek a consultation with a local attorney regarding the law in your state.

This is not a product liability issue, it is a storage and/or shipping issue by someone.

If you did not store the drinks improperly, I would certainly contact the store where you purchased them and inform of them of the problem. It could be that THEY stored them too long in the sun or that the distributor did so - or shipped them in an un-cooled container.
