This morning I noticed our metal security door was punctured. While examining it (from inside our apartment) we heard our neighbors talking about doing it last night while they were drunk. They didn't see us at first, and when they noticed us watching them, they scampered off.
We immediately called the West Hollywood Sheriff's Dept. who took a report (he tried to talk us out of filing one).
Our landlady said she would support us 100%, as she's had complaints (non-police) about these neighbors.
Should we get an attorney? My partner seems to think so. Or is this strictly between my landlady and our neighbors? I want to protect ourselves in case something else happens.
