FBI Investigation Computer Crimes, Hacking

Last October 2006 FBI agents confiscated a computer of mine containing underage pornography. I'd been downloading 'regular' porn for a few years and was set up by the Feds. I received an 'anonymous' email about a site with the 'youngest girls available'. Yes it was a sting and I was stung. They didn't read my any rights or arrest me at the time. After two months of mental anquish I just moved because I couldn't sit and wait anymore. The stress was unbearable. Since that day I've given up porn of any kind forever. I never thought 'big brother' was watching but don't kid yourself because they are.

I've never been arrested for anything and have never touched anyone of age or otherwise innapropriately. I only downloaded files that I never would have otherwise. When they confiscated my computer they told me that they were looking for online predators and information for that purpose. I've never done anything even close. But after doing some internet research where first time offenders received two year federal sentences simply for possession I said screw that. Is there a statute of limitations on something like this? What should I do?

Best answer is dont run away from what will end up far worse in the end, you have to face the music.

No, you may not have but it comes down to supply and demand, if you were not in demand the supply may slow down and stop many innocent children getting violated for this type of situation.

I would suggest seek treatment for your actions, as you well know what you are doing is wrong in the eyes of the masses. You are commiting crime a the end of the day.

I am not judging you, Just trying to make you see this situation from another angle.

Too late for that...I'm already gone. I need to know for how long.

And I don't need treatment for a problem I don't have. But that is the advice I expected. The only thing I have to say about your supply and demand comment is this. If the FBI didn't supply, I wouldn't even be in trouble. So if I'm guilty so are they.

Silly comment realy, they set stings to catch potential predetors and that is what you are whether you are in denial or not. You know the score, you are not silly.
Go hand yourself in and face the music before your situaton gets worse, honestly that is the best advice you can get.

Legal advice is not what you need, you need moral advice. I am only saying it as i see it.
It's your choice, your life is not my problem but i hope you sort yourself out..

Hey, we are not here to judge anyone no matter what our veiws are. We are just here to give people the best advice we can. You will do what you want to do at the end of the day, you have my opinion maybe someone else may see things different.
