What can be done when a senior citizen is giving their money to another relative and their friends in the hope of a bonanza.the senator's children are desperate in getting their(senior) mother to stop.

As long as Mom is legally competent, she is free to dispose of the children's supposed inheritance as she wishes.

If the senior citizen is competent, there isn't much that can be done. It is her money. If the senior citizen is not competent enough to handle her finances, you can go to court & try to get financial/durable power of attorney. You will need a doctor (maybe more than one) to "testify" that the person is not competent.

I say to your delightful mother, "You go, girlfriend!"
She's a free woman, over the age of 21, giving away HER money.
She can give HER money to anyone she wants to, because its HER money.
She sure seems like a lovely lady, generous, of sound mind and body.
Nothing any of HER greedy children can do to stop her from giving away HER money.
