My jurisdiction is: California

Two previous clients have written bad reviews about our company which are not true, and I would like to know what we can do legally to get them removed, one of them wrote a bad review on the Better Business Bureau website, the BBB contacted us and investigated and found she was lying and removed it right away, but she's posted it on another website, and the other one, we don't even know who she is.........and these websites just go a head and post the reviews without even contacting the company to let them know or even give them a chance to fight it! I've tried contacting one website which doesn't have a phone number, you have to email them, and they haven't returned my emails........the other website said they were going to remove it as it was against their rules. So how can I go about legally getting it removed as this has probably been doing us some damage.......I've only just found it, but I think it's been up there a while. Thanks to anyone who can help!!

This is a big problem. It's not going to be easy. You may wish to file a case (even in small claims) and send an information subpoena to disclose the account information (including email address) and IP information. It won't be a cheap, quick process if that's what you're hoping for.
