Fake Ids

My wife found a fake Id for my 19 year old daughter. We live in Missouri; daughter goes to school in Kansas; the fake Id was a Indiana drivers license showing she was 21.
I have two questions:
A) If my daughter gets caught with the fake Id, what is the penalty?
B) How will this affect her scholarships; school admission; and employment as a pharmacist after she graduates.

It all depends what your daughter is using (or has used) the "fake ID" for in the past.

None of that really matters, because she might only be planning to use the "fake ID".

Nevertheless, the consequences of its use will be crushing and catastrophic, should be found out!

You should sit down with her and have a frank discussion.

You should warn her, that her career could potentially be in jeopardy, should she get arrested using that "fake ID".

Her career choice, pharmacy, maintains a strict licensing protocol (just as most professions do).

An arrest could stand in the way of her practicing in that (or any) profession.

She is most likely using the "fake" ID to gain entrance to casinos, for underage drinking, or both.

However innocuous she thinks her potential "crime" may be, she is dancing on the edge of a razor blade.

She should promise you and her mother that she will never attempt any of this madness again.

She should agree to destroy the "fake ID" in your presence.

She should promise both of you that she will not obtain another one.

She should enunciate why obtaining and using a "fake ID" is a bad idea.

You should explain to her that many horrendous things could happen as the result of using "fake" identification.

Hopefully, you'll be able to dialogue with her and reach a successful understanding.

She should walk away knowing how dangerous her foolish act could be to her future.

She should understand that she is impacting her life and not yours.

I hope you can get through to her.

Finally, at age 19, she will be treated as the adult she has become.

What she does now, will no longer be treated as a childish prank by the legal system.

Where she uses the ID and what she uses it for determine the consequences. Most likely she is using it to get into bars or to buy alcohol. There are various misdemeanor offenses that she may have to worry about. If there is alcohol involved in any of it then she may risk the suspension of her real license since she is under age... depends on the laws of the particular state.
It shouldn't have any effect on school unless he gets in trouble using it on campus.

If someone underage is caught using a fake ID, he or she faces a fine of up to $2,500 and possible jail time.
