I purchased a used SUV with a broken gas cap from a private individual. The agreement of the sale was that the previous owner would pay for a new (OEM) gas cap. He said that he ordered the cap, but it had not come in yet at his local dealers (approximate value is around $50). He said he would ship it to me when it did come in. I went ahead on the sale, and now he is not following through with the purchasing of a new gas cap. He has failed to return my multiple calls. Is this worth pursuing or should I cut my losses?

If principal is that important to you , then go ahead take it to court .
However , it would be like taking one step forward and two steps backward money wise .
