I dont know anthing about law or suing as ive never been in the situation.
About 2years ago i done a negligent act and gave my former boyfriend $10 000 in cash to buy a motorvechicle. it was a verbal agreement that he was to pay me back as soon as he gets a job. He got a job but no money came to me.
Now that we are seperated I want my money back obviously.
He does recognize that he owes it to me but says I have no legal grounds to sue because I have no proof.
There is no paperwork saying that I gave him the money maybe just a bank statement i can obtain but i do have his family saying that he does owe the money still.
Do I have any grounds to sue? and how do i go about it?
